What We Do For Fun...
Ropes Course: Our state-of-the-art ropes course provides low and high rope challenges in a beautiful, wooded setting. Campers of all ages can take on the “Vertical Playpen,” the climbing wall, and swing on our giant “Swingshot” while building their teamwork skills and confidence.
Nature Discovery:Campers explore the local ecology through crafts, hikes, turtles, frogs, bugs, and slugs.
Archery:There’s nothing like hitting the ol’ bullseye! Our instructor teaches both beginners and more experienced archers the safety and art of archery.
Arts & Crafts: Creative expression in our fully-equipped art studio is a great way to cool off during an action-packed day. Led by our arts and crafts counselor, campers make everything from melted crayon paintings to footprint fish.
Drama: Under the direction of our experienced drama counselor, campers learn and enjoy improvisation, theater games, storytelling, and for older group-skit production.
Sports & Games: Campers find it irresistible to run around and be part of a team. Here they can participate in basketball, soccer, tennis, Capture the Flag, or goal-oriented group challenges. Games and activities are age-appropriate, of course.
Swimming: You can’t have summer without cooling off in the pool! Your child is briefly evaluated and then can enjoy recreational swimming time.
Kid’s Choice! (Electives): Campers choose from a number of activities such as Scatter Ball (a Camp Webb original), parachute games or jewelry making. Activities vary week-to-week according to the theme.
Theme Days: To add to the excitement, we offer theme weeks, ranging from Banana Week to our annual Adventure Cup Week. Campers participate in themed activities and are encouraged to join in the fun by dressing up according to the theme. Our activity counselors incorporate the themes into the usual daily activities. For example, during Banana Week, in sports and games, we launch bananas using a giant slingshot!
Meet the Adventure Camp Staff…
When parents enroll their child in Camp Webb, they are entrusting us with their most prized possession. We at Camp Webb take that responsibility very seriously by hiring the best people we can find. Counselors are chosen based on their maturity, ability to be positive role models, experience with children, and level of enthusiasm. It is essential that the camp counselors we hire understand the important balance between creating a super-fun experience for our campers and keeping them safe. Our senior counselors must be at least 18 years of age and have passed a screening and interview process. All staff members at Camp Webb participate in orientation and training programs prior to the arrival of the campers. We limit our Adventure Camp enrollment to an overall 1:4 staff-to-camper ratio.
What the Adventure Camp staff are saying...
“Working at Camp Webb was the single most valuable experience I’ve had in my life, and it’s taught me that children are highly diverse and impressionable. The past summer was as crucial to my own development as I hope it was for the kids since it instilled within me the value of striving to become a caring, positive role model.”
“I had the privilege of working on the staff of Camp Webb and it was an experience that will stay with me forever. Anytime I meet someone in the Knoxville area with children, I mention Camp Webb and the great time I had working there. (Sometimes I end up talking more about how much fun I had rather than how much fun the children had!) But that’s exactly what makes Camp Webb such a unique place for young kids to spend their summers. They’ll have fun, they’ll make friends, and they’ll learn something new most every day; and the atmosphere at Camp Webb is truly special. I attended camp as a child and I had a great time, but Camp Webb changed my view of what a summer camp can and should be. Adventure Camp combines so many different activities for kids to do and the different themes each week keep the activities fresh, exciting and new; which I believe is so important for children who can sometimes become lethargic from an unchanging, strictly kept schedule.”
"Adventure Camp always provided a positive atmosphere for everyone involved, and the positive influence of the camp directors, my fellow co-workers and the campers themselves made waking up in the morning and going to work so worth it. I think Camp Webb allows children to develop friendships, learn teamwork and most importantly, to really be themselves and be happy with who they are. In short, Camp Webb was an amazing experience as a counselor (I can only imagine what it would be like as a camper!) and I strongly recommend it for anyone.”
“As a counselor at Camp Webb, I genuinely looked forward to going to work each day because of the awesome kids, the crazy-fun themes, the outstanding directors, the one-of-a-kind staff, and wonderful activities. As far as summer camps go, Adventure Camp has set the gold standard for me. As I approach college graduation, I think about what I want in a job, and I immediately think of the incredibly positive, welcoming and fun environment Camp Webb provides for all who are a part of it. My summer working at Camp Webb is an experience I will always remember, along with those incredibly catchy camp songs!”

Tired of getting up every morning and throwing together lunches in a lunch box? We provide lunch and it’s included in the cost of all camps! Campers and staff cool off together in the cafeteria and enjoy a nutritious, hot lunch. We also offer a salad bar, fresh fruit, and the trusty peanut butter and jelly sandwich. In addition, we are a “nut-aware” camp, and work with families when children have specific allergic conditions.
A nurse is on site and available every day of the Camp Webb season. Our nurse will call you if your camper comes to visit and requires more than minor medical attention. The nurse is here to dispense medication when required, provide first-level health care if needed, and TLC all the time! Our ultimate goal is to be proactive and to practice prevention by safeguarding against accidents and illness as much as possible.
Extended Camp Day Options - Aftercare:
EARLYCARE: Campers may be dropped off at camp, starting at 7:30. There is no fee for morning supervision as there will be no organized activities. AFTERCARE: Campers who cannot be picked up at the end of their camps may stay for extended supervision for an additional charge. Aftercare provides a variety of choices for campers during their afternoon time. Socializing on the playground, participating in sports activities in the gym or on the basketball courts, or getting creative with various craft projects are some of the many things available to campers. At Camp Webb’s Aftercare, children can form new friendships and strengthen old ones during structured downtime. Aftercare is offered on a weekly or daily basis.
The hours are from 2:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Campers must be entering kindergarten-eighth grade.
