Statement of Philosophy: “A successful wrestling program will not only coach an athlete to win, humbly, on the mat, but also shows how to approach daily life with the same grit, courage, and determination that a wrestler must possess to set foot on the mat. A successful wrestling program will coach wrestlers to work together as a team and depend on each other to give maximum effort, at all times, weather it be at home, in the class, in practice, or in competition. A successful wrestling program will coach wrestlers to, “take the match opponent” rather than having the match be taken by the opponent. Additionally, the wrestler will win in a way that will be honorable and sportsmanlike in both victory and defeat.”
“Once you've wrestled, everything else in life is easy.” -Dan Gable
