Webb School proudly congratulates the Lady Spartan varsity dance team for earning high honors at this summer’s Universal Dance Association (UDA) three-day dance camp at East Tennessee State University. For the first time in program history, Webb's team, under the direction of Coach Susie Norris, competed a home routine and received several top awards, including the following:
•1ST PLACE – HOME ROUTINE
Webb’s dance team prepared its routine in less than a month and competed against four other high school squads.
All Webb dancers received blue ribbons for their individual performances of the three routines they learned at the UDA camp.
Voted on by camp participants, Webb’s squad was presented with this award for exemplifying leadership and good sportsmanship.
The Lady Spartans were recognized for their ‘above and beyond’ efforts in adding visuals and choreographic elements to their team routine.
Based on the votes of UDA staff, Webb’s dance team was presented with this award for showcasing their best effort during all camp activities.
•SUPER SPIRIT STICK AWARD
Webb’s team was recognized for its high level of energy and team spirit for the entirety of camp.
•UDA ALL-AMERICAN DANCERS
Six of Webb’s dancers auditioned individually, and the following Lady Spartans earned the UDA All-American Award: Sydney Aikens, Anna-Leise Bradbury, Ansley Honeycutt, Macey Norris, Madeline Seals, and Grace Sullivan.
•RUNNER-UP DRILL DOWN QUEEN AWARD
Shreya Chintalapudi rallied through several eliminations among all camp participants to receive this award.
