McClain Cameron ’22 Named to United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-American Team

Webb School Class of 2022 graduate and Lady Spartan soccer standout McClain Cameron was recently selected to the prestigious United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-American Team. This year, 54 boys and 72 girls, nationwide, earned USC High School Scholar All-American distinction for a combination of excellence in the classroom (minimum of a 3.75 cumulative GPA) and outstanding performance on the field during their secondary school careers.

An attacking midfielder and four-year starter for Webb’s Lady Spartans, Cameron is a National Merit Finalist, an AP Scholar with Distinction and a member Webb’s Cum Laude and National Honor Societies. The two-time TSWA All-State and three-time All-Region player recorded 56 goals and 38 assists in her soccer career at Webb School. She is also a multiple All-District player and was voted district MVP her junior season.

Also a member of Webb’s Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society for scholastic achievement in mathematics, Cameron was named an All-5Star Preps second-team player in 2021. She will be attending the University of Alabama this fall as a Presidential Scholar.
