Twenty-One Webb Seniors Named to Mu Alpha Theta Society for Excellence in Math

Twenty-one Webb seniors were recently inducted into the Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society, the national high school and two-year college mathematics honor society. Webb’s Upper School math department recognized the newest inductees during a recent Upper School Chapel.

Over 100 Webb School Students Earn AP Scholar Awards

This year, the College Board announced that 103 Webb School students, both current and graduates from the Class of 2019, earned AP Scholar Awards with eight Spartan students achieving national ranking. The average score of Webb’s award winners was an exemplary 3.68 on a 5-point scale. In May 2019, 190 Webb Upper School students sat for 503 AP exams. Eighty-eight percent of those students achieved a score of 3 or higher, which included 76 scores of 5 and 153 scores of 4.

Allison Page ’93, President of Discovery, Inc.’s Joint Venture with Magnolia, Named Webb’s Distinguished Alumna for 2019

Webb School has named Class of 1993 alumna Allison Page as the recipient of its Distinguished Alumnus/na Award for 2019. Page is the President of Discovery, Inc.’s joint venture with Magnolia, the home and lifestyle brand led by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Previously, she was President of HGTV and Food Network. Webb will present Page with its Distinguished Alumnus/na Award, Friday, September 27, during Upper School Chapel.
