Webb Student Art Entries Earn Top Awards at Juried Regional Art Exhibition

An outstanding number of Webb Middle and Upper School student art entries were selected for the 2019-2020 East Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition. In addition, three Webb students were awarded overall "BEST IN" honors, including Bailey Musrock, whose mixed media collage, Butterfly Effect, won the top prize – BEST IN SHOW. The exhibit is on display at the KMA through January 12, 2020.

Webb Senior Zach DiBiase Presented with Optimist Club Service to Humanity Award

Webb's Zach DiBiase was presented with a Robert H. Leonard Service to Humanity Award for 2019 from the Optimist Club of Knoxville. This award is given annually to one student from each local high school for his or her exceptional contributions to the community. A national President’s Volunteer Service Gold Medal recipient, an AP Scholar with Distinction and a member of Webb’s Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society and National Honor Society, DiBiase has contributed more than 400 hours of community service since his freshman year.

Webb Students Receive National Award for Volunteer Service

Webb’s Upper School recently recognized 21 9th-12th grade students for their demonstrated exemplary commitment to community service with the presentation of this year’s national President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). Together, these students have volunteered over 2,800 hours of community service over the past 12 months.

Webb School Latin Teacher Jenny Fields Receives State Award

Webb Upper School Latin teacher, Jenny Fields, has been named the winner of the 2019 Tennessee Classical Association Distinguished Latin Teaching Award. This award recognizes a K-12 Latin teacher for his/her effort and dedication with the purpose of fostering excellence in the teaching of Latin and to focus attention on those who have achieved it. Former co-chair of the Tennessee Junior Classical League, co-sponsor of Webb’s Upper and Middle School Latin Club and sponsor of the Upper School Greek Club, Fields has dedicated her 22-year-plus teaching career to instilling a love and appreciation for the classical language of Latin.

Webb Middle School Students Give Back with Their Hearts and Hands for the Holidays

This December 6, 13 and 16, as part of the Middle School’s long-standing Holiday Service Days, our sixth through eighth graders will give back with their hearts and hands by helping out at various community agencies in the Knoxville area and providing holiday gifts and cheer for children from the Helen Ross McNabb Children and Youth Center.
