How to Build Your Schedule: follow these 3 simple steps to secure your spot in the Spartan Engagement Lab.

• Rank your top 5 choices for each available Flex and Activity Day. (Flex Clubs are 55 minutes and on days 1, 4, and 6; Activity Clubs are 30 minutes on days 1 & 3 and 2 & 4.)  

• Review & submit to Advisors with parent and student signatures by 5/11/26.

The Spirit of the Lab: The Spartan Engagement Lab is a non-graded, high-impact space designed for exploration, skill-building, and community connection. By removing traditional grading, we allow students to take creative risks, fail forward, and focus on the joy of discovery without the pressure of a GPA.

The Standard of Excellence: While there are no grades, there are high behavioral expectations. Participation in these labs is a privilege that requires:

• Respect for the Craft: Students must arrive prepared and ready to engage with the day’s activity.
• Respect for the Community: Positive collaboration and inclusion of all peers is mandatory.
• Respect for the Space: Whether in a woodshop, a dance studio, or a quiet reading lounge, students must follow all safety protocols and care for equipment and materials.

The Agreement: By signing below, students and parents acknowledge that while these labs are designed for enrichment and enjoyment, continued enrollment is contingent upon maintaining the Spartan Engagement Lab Standard of Excellence. Students who are unable to meet behavioral expectations or who disrupt the learning environment for others will be moved to an alternate placement.
