Message from the President

At Webb, we believe that students should be given challenging, meaningful and diverse opportunities to discover and explore their passions, both in the traditional classroom setting and through extracurricular experiences. As they discover their passions, they realize their potential. Our job is to inspire and encourage them on this journey.

We’re so glad you’ve taken the opportunity to explore our website where you will get a glimpse into what makes Webb School of Knoxville so wonderfully extraordinary. During your virtual visit, you will read and see videos about our student accomplishments, learn about our recognition as a top tier Pre-K through 12th grade independent school, and dive into our academic offerings taught by exceptional teachers.

At Webb, our students are inspired to learn! You see it in the enthusiastic faces of our Pre-K Junior Spartans and the other Lower School children as they race to their classrooms each morning, and in the way Middle and Upper School students approach their studies with a genuine desire to know more.
We hold our students to high standards, while our nurturing and inspiring faculty create an environment where students embrace the challenges presented in and out of the classroom. In my mind, no school provides a better balance of programs in academics, arts, and athletics. Our expectations of excellence in all three areas give students the best and broadest foundation, while allowing them to develop and excel in their strengths.
Webb School is a unique place. The honor, respect, and compassion instilled in each student, combined with an exceptional education, fully prepare them for success throughout their lives. Our graduates are ready to be leaders of character and to head out into the world with the confidence to thrive and the conviction to make a difference.
To truly experience Webb, I invite you to come for a visit, so we can welcome you in person. I am confident that the moment you step foot on campus, you will get that feeling . . . a feeling that goes beyond the beautiful grounds and academic buildings, a feeling that is deeper than the creative spirit you’ll see in our arts facilities and far beyond the competitive edge you’ll recognize as you walk on our playing fields. It’s a feeling that comes from the warmth and excitement you encounter from Webb students, parents, and teachers. It is that sense of community that makes us all feel a part of the Webb School family.

Come explore our campus. Walk our pathways and hallways. Discover for yourself the warmth and strength of our Spartan community and our programs. Discover what makes the Webb School of Knoxville experience extraordinary.
