Opportunities abound for parents and special friends to make their mark at Webb. From short shifts reading in a Lower School classroom to leading Webbfest, our volunteers ensure the student experience is second to none.

The stars shine brightest during theatre performances. Students of all ages develop their acting and speaking skills in our on-house productions. 

National competitions afford students the opportunity to collectively build a better world through the rigors of science and technology. Webb’s commitment includes designing spaces that will optimize this experience.

Students gain real world experience working alongside professionals in a variety of fields after completing doctoral level research. It is just way our student tailor their experience based on their passions.

Participation is prized at Webb. More than 77% of our students play at least one sport and we currently have more than 40 former Spartans competing at the college level.

Webb’s six playing fields are among the nicest in Tennessee. Three gyms, a fitness facility and a tennis center provide our athletes with great spaces to train and play on campus.

Our students — from the novice to the most passionate art lovers — are exposed to incredible opportunities to explore the arts to great depths. Working alongside professional artists adds insight to creative expression.

Our daily divisional assemblies foster a spirit of camaraderie rarely seen in most schools. Spartan spirit is grown one day at a time.

Specifically designed classes and assemblies provide the roadmap to learning about the importance of character. Students learn about and reflect on making good decisions. 

Spartans love to compete. Webb has won 73 state championships — 38 in girls, 35 in boys — in 14 different sports.

Creative expression is at a premium in the Webb Dance studio. Experienced dancers get the opportunity to choreograph and direct their own performance.

Implementing Design Thinking is an engaging way to make school life more reflective of real life. Problem-based learning allows student to develop innovative solutions to authentic world problems.

More than 14 million dollars! Our recent graduating classes have averaged more than $14 million dollars in total scholarship awards to more than 160 schools across the country. 

Competition brings out the best in our performers.  Webb students participate at local ensemble  events and national competitions. Performance destinations include Chicago, Orlando and New York City.

Study of a non-English language helps promote global understanding and citizenship. It also fosters a deep appreciation for the cultures of the world and an understanding of how the United States fits into a global context.

Students have an opportunity to visit with representatives from more than 75 colleges and universities at our annual College Fair. Additionally, more than 50 reps visit the college counseling center throughout the year.

Challenging work, at times, requires additional instruction. Beyond the classroom, our students can find support in the writing center, math center and learning center.

Hosting students from all across the globe helps develop our students as global ambassadors. It also helps them realize the commonality of teenagers around the world.   

Our three full-time counselors ensure that parents know what to ask and where to get the answers. The comprehensive college admissions program includes approximately ten parent events each year.

Student representation in the leadership of the Upper School has been a hallmark for more than 60 years.  From leading Chapel to organizing special events, students take ownership of their experience.

Students begin to wonder about college as early as middle school. Our intentionally designed college counseling program begins in eighth grade and we continue the partnership with families through graduation.

Special interest groups allow students to share time with peers with similar passions.  More than 35 clubs meet regularly throughout the school year.

Even young students can begin to develop passions. A full programmatic menu provides students with diverse learning activities that help them learn about themselves.

Tremendous growth unfolds when students travel as a class. These trips, introduced in fourth grade, allow students to bond with teachers and classmates while spending time away from home.  

Discovering how the world works is exciting. Young scientists are immersed in authentic situations which creates solutionaries — students who use innovation to solve problems.

Our older students gain valuable leadership lessons when they are paired with a younger Spartan. When the buddies meet, they may read books together, complete an art activity, participate in a center, or play together.

Learning away from campus emphasizes that the world is our classroom. Local trips are taken four times each year and help develop our students develop self-awareness and self-confidence.

Having friends in different grades hammers home the point that we are all in this together. The Families program is designed so that each group has one student in each grade. Families meet monthly to complete team-building activities.

Salient skills are learned in the context of purposeful activities rather than in isolation. Opportunities are available for individual and collaborative learning experiences.

Being part of something larger than yourself is a cool part of growing up. We start each day in Community Meeting to celebrate the successes of our classmates and to build community spirit.  

The introduction to a new language and culture is unique and inspiring for young learners. Comparing and contrasting languages and cultures helps them understand that there is a larger global community.
