A Message from the President

Welcome to Webb School of Knoxville’s website and to the new 2012-2013 academic year. Thank you for your interest in the school and for taking the time to peruse our website. Webb School has been educating young leaders in the Knoxville community for more than half a century, and we are eager to continue our mission of preparing students to achieve success both in college and in life. Last year’s graduates had 100 percent college placement, were extended 440 offers of admission to 154 different colleges and universities, and received more than $5.8 million in scholarship offers.

As one might imagine, Webb School continues to evolve both in anticipation of, and in response to, the changing world in which we live. To be successful in that world, Webb graduates will need to cultivate aptitudes in a whole host of academic and social arenas, possess a strong work ethic and an unfailing sense of integrity, be able to work well with others, and demonstrate a heart for service. Our programs and our faculty both are oriented toward cultivating those attributes in our students.

All of us at Webb take great pride both in the work that we are doing to create an optimal learning environment for our students and in our students’ ability to grow and improve in that environment. I hope that you will not only continue to read more about Webb on this site, but use this experience as a springboard to getting to know the school better by visiting the campus and speaking to our faculty, staff, and students.

Sincerely,

Scott L. Hutchinson
