Legacies at Webb School of Knoxville are defined as a son or daughter of a graduate who attended Webb. Obviously, we see that as a testimony to the loyalty of the school and its alumni. Life after Webb School definitely does not mean life without Webb School. We feel it's important for our alumni to stay connected with each other and with the school. Through events such as reunions and young alumni gatherings; volunteer opportunities, including our Alumni Speaker Series, Dumont Arts Symposium, and our new Professional Mentor Program, we hope to foster among our alumni a feeling of support and friendship.
Webb School will implement its new Professional Mentor Program for seniors during the 2010-2011 school year. As a member of Webb’s alumni community, you may remember participating in a mentor program as an Upper School student. As in the past, this program will provide students the opportunity to reach out to mentors in various professional fields of interest to pursue their passions and expand their horizons. Mentors will experience one-on-one interaction with students as they offer first-hand learning at their worksites and serve as role models for seniors before they begin their college careers. We invite you to log in to join us online. While we have a great deal of content for you to peruse, our online community/Alumni Portal is the place where you can view school information that is just of interest to you. You can also view photos and videos behind the security of your password. | WEBB DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS/NA AWARD
Webb School of Knoxville's Distinguished Alumnus/na Award is presented annually to an alumnus/na whose business or professional accomplishments and service to others exemplify the goals of Webb School in the spirit of its motto, "principes non homines - leaders not men."
We receive nominations from alumni and other members of the Webb community. Webb’s alumni class agents then vote on the award recipient at the fall Alumni Council meeting. If you know of an alumnus/na who you would like to be considered for the 2010 award, email Webb Alumni Coordinator, Helen Dean Bruner, at: helen_bruner@webbschool.org.
